On-device processing
Clenvra is designed to process its storage indexes and storage-management metadata on your device. Clenvra does not operate a server that receives your file names, file paths, file indexes, Photos library metadata, or cloud-file metadata.
The current app does not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs to track your storage activity.
Data Clenvra stores locally
Clenvra may store app settings, the identifiers of photos you choose to keep out of suggestions, security-scoped access records for locations you authorize, Review state, and local metadata indexes needed to restore and operate app features. Reconstructible metadata caches are stored in the app's Application Support area and are excluded from device backup where Clenvra marks them as cache data.
These local records are used to remember your choices, display storage information, and avoid unnecessarily re-indexing the same metadata.
Review also keeps a local recovery copy. If its main file becomes unreadable and a valid recovery copy exists, Clenvra can restore that copy and retain the latest unreadable file locally. These files contain Review metadata, not copies of your photos or source files.
Photos and Files access
Clenvra accesses Photos and Files only through permissions and locations made available by iOS. Local Files and iCloud Drive remain separate sources inside the app. Removing a location from Clenvra removes Clenvra's saved access and index for that location; it does not itself delete the files in that location.
For Files and iCloud Drive storage calculations, Clenvra uses metadata exposed by iOS and does not intentionally open a cloud-only file merely to discover its size. If you explicitly preview content, or enable a feature that requires downloading media, iOS may download or materialize that content.
Cloud providers
Authentication for iCloud and File Provider locations is handled by iOS and the relevant provider. Clenvra does not ask for or store your Apple ID password or third-party cloud-provider passwords.
Provider apps and Apple services may independently process or synchronize files according to their own terms and privacy policies. Clenvra does not control their servers, retention rules, synchronization behavior, Trash or Recently Deleted behavior, or provider-side changes.
Deletion and recovery
Clenvra requires a Review and confirmation flow before destructive cleanup. For supported cloud files, Clenvra re-checks available source and file metadata before deletion and refuses the operation when the indexed item can no longer be safely matched.
Clenvra does not guarantee recovery after deletion. Any Trash, Recently Deleted, Recycle Bin, retention period, version history, or recovery mechanism belongs to iOS or the storage provider and is outside Clenvra's control.
Optional diagnostic reports
Help & Feedback can prepare a report locally with the app and iOS versions, permission status, and scan state. Library totals are optional and excluded by default. The report does not include photos, filenames, file paths, item identifiers, account details, or device identifiers.
Preparing a report sends nothing. You can preview it and choose whether and where to share it using the iOS share sheet. The chosen recipient or service handles the report according to its own practices.
Sharing, sale, and tracking
Clenvra does not sell your file or storage metadata. The current app does not send that metadata to Clenvra-operated servers and does not use it for cross-app advertising or tracking.
If future versions introduce a server-backed feature, analytics, or a materially different data flow, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures must be updated before that behavior is represented as covered by this version of the policy.
Purchases through Apple
Apple processes in-app purchases through StoreKit. Clenvra checks verified purchase information on your device to determine Premium access, including subscription and Lifetime status. Clenvra does not ask for or store your Apple Account password or payment card details. Apple handles billing and purchase records under its own terms and privacy policy.
Removing data and contacting support
You can remove authorized file locations and supported local records in the app. Deleting Clenvra removes its local app data, but does not delete your original Photos or Files, exported reports, backups, or Apple purchase records. Manage those separately through the relevant Apple or storage-provider settings.
Contact [email protected] for privacy questions. If you email support, the information you choose to send and your email address are used to handle your request and are processed by the email service used for that correspondence. Do not include passwords, payment details, or private media.
Changes and scope
This policy describes the current Clenvra app. Website hosting and email services may process technical information needed to deliver their services. This app policy does not claim that the website or email provider keeps no logs. We update this policy when app data practices change.
